Thread: A fix for the leaking fuel cap and a bigger 'opening' for the fuel

    Problem solved. Dealer ordered a new gas cap, removed my tumbler and installed it in the new cap assembly. Works like a champ now. Once they received the new cap they realized the gas cap assembly that was on my bike was from a standard RSVR, not a Factory. The Factory cap has the same color center piece as the fork upper plate, so I'm guessing someone at one of the dealerships this bike bounced around to swapped it out. I'm happier than a pig in shit now!

    As for the clear coat, the dealer cleaned it up and you can't notice anything now. They told me to keep an eye on it and if it starts to deteriorate they will work with Piaggio on it, but as it stands now they know it will get turned down for replacement.
