Falco Ohlins Shock with Mille Swing Arm?

Ok - so this may be a dumb question but I'll ask anyway!

I'm about to take delivery of a Falco that has an Ohlins rear shock fitted. I'm assuming this is a unit specifically designed for the Falco.

I wanted to fit a Mille swing arm and just had a thought that there may be some fitting issues with the shock I have?

As I don't actually have the bike yet it's tough to work out how the fittings work!

Use the linkage off your Falco arm and there is no issues with using your Falco shock and a Mille swingarm. There are tons of threads on this issue.....

Thanks for that - I was pretty sure it was Ok but wanted to double check as I think I'm getting the swing arm this weekend and can't get to see the bike until next week.

If it's the AP940 shock it won't fit, as the nitrogen canister is vertical and will hit the top of the swingarm. If its an AP840 Mille shock it will work no problems.

Go to the Ohlins website to see what I mean.

Hoh, Hum, another shitty day in paradise!

What Dukie said! I have Carlos' old shock and it was installed on a Mille swingarm at one time and it has damage on the reservoir (rub marks).

Look at the bottom edge of the reservoir.

Found a pic of the bike I'm getting which looks like it may have a horizontal cannister?

Quality isn't great so tough to see properly:

That's the same shock I have. The cannister is horizontal and will not hit the swingarm. I love it! Such an improvement over stock.

    Good luck with the bike.

    Molan,

Yep, it will fit. That's the same setup a number of us are running with good results. Just make sure you have the correct shock linkages, i.e. the ones from a Mille.
