Why dont`t you both create proper profile signatures with your setup and tell us about it? I`ve never heard talk about overrange in the ditech section before, only gear-ups; and I`ve looked a fair bit.

What does it do for you, and why opt for overrange instead of gear-ups?

Better low end, higher top end. My piaggio should hit close to 80 once I figure out how to tune a carb, and if not I've got a gear set to throw in it too.

You can only do overrange in piaggio. Morini doesn't have enough room to remove shit, if I remember correctly.

How to tune a carb - so you do not have a ditech? Why don`t you get a signature profile so we can stop talking across each other?

    - How much more top end?
    - What is the effect on the RPM/speed ratio - does it mean it will reach a higher speed in the power band before the RPMs have to increase?
    - And why does some people say a higher hp engine is required to drive it than a sport cylinder - how is the effect compared to a slightly higher gearing - does it correspond to a % of higher gearing?

Anybody with overrange experience on a ditech?

Ok, I`m glad Mayor McTurd has excluded himself from the discussion, so we can get on to the real discussion and get some good information.

rank1, I see you have updated your sig with a very interesting setup.

Could you please tell more about:

    - What does the overrange do compared to the gear-up - did you get the overrange or the gear up first?

    - The Malossi Crankshaft - it`s the ´full circle´ one, right? How did that impact your setup and it`s driveability? For example, I`ve read that it lowers air pressure about 10 psi + it makes acceleration a bit slower but holds speed better because of the extra weight. What does the drop in air presure do, and has the power band changed at all. Any other particular information I ought to know about upgrading? Please tell more about everything. I mainly want it for it`s durability with a 70cc kit.

I install all parts at once. When u install all these parts,u ll definitly feel different.Overrange increase rpm as well, but hold a nice stable build up without losing power.I did upgrade the latest multivar and special kevlar belt with teeth on both side. The pulley has 2 angle which are adjustable but its more for fine tuning as we say.About the gears, well u ll feel already different.Same story with full cycle crankshaft.More resistant but stronger power. So keep it short with these parts u ll lose a little acceleration but get a higher topspeed, less stress on moving parts. When i had a converted ditech with mhr team cyl well there u ll need all that parts to hold all that power.U should change crankshaft if need to replace it.Gears also otherwise the engine makes too much rpm and hold power back and wheely power sure.
