    soon.
im waiting on another set of pistons.
I have a fascination with gas porting.
but in the case of a 2 ring piston, it drinks oil hard under closed throttle.
So im doing a set without the gas ports, and moving back to a 2mm oil ring from the 1.5mm ring.

How you going to post something like that and not include a video so we can hear how it sounds?

ID:	387877Attachment 387874keep an eye on it with aim mychron 4, monitor individual exhaust temps and wideband, as well as throttle position, rpm, and coolant temp.
ecu tuned to provide a save 12-12.5-1 AFR in all situations except decel.
I am really really close to running out of injector though. Had a mixup of the programming between my DAQ and front AFR guage, was dousing the front cylinder with fuel to get my daq to report 12.5, and but the real reading was 10.5. at peak some of the fuel cells in XV tuner were set above 10,000 maybe even 11,000. I think the injector would reach 100% duty cycle and the ecu was looking for an inductive kickback from the injector coils field collapsing, not seeing the inductive kick the ecu would report an injector error. was ripping my hair out, suspecting a bad harness or ecu, untill one day my afr guage displayed 10-1, and the data log showed nothing of the sort, reviewed all my settings and whala error gone!

    Ill post the video,
    but keep in mind...........
1 this was during the time of the air fuel mix up debachle
2 hadn't ridden the bike in 5 or 6 years, and was never a good SM rider, Im a dirt guy.
3 This is before I discovered I had a progressive throttle tube in the spare part
4 The non progressive tube and some kinks in the ignition map, combined with some over fueling created little bobble to brap that freaked me out quite good mid corner so i was timid with bringing the throttle on, you can actually hear it if you listen (keep that in mind when your judging my lack of speed)... I wasn't quite sure if 5% throttle was going to do nothing or kick hard enough to unsettle the chassis.
5 I did some wheelies down the hole damned road but my brother had already put the camera away

at a later date i pulled some decel fuel to keep from knocking the chamber temps down to nothing, and pulled some ignition advance from the 4-8% throttle positions from 5000-rev limit and blended back in and did some modest smoothing of the ignition map based on stock and dual arrow? map.
this mostly took care of it, i started backing it in for the first time......
then found the progressive tube... turned it into a total pussycat............ on the throttle days earlier now.....
A little boring, so i had motion pro make a rev 2 setup for me, so i have the choice between a few progressive profiles
both are not as extreme as the domino progressive tube.

    exhaust is rubber isolated properly.
nothing i ever do really ever gets finished sadly....
I still need to weld one junction on the exhaust that was never supposed to be slip...
I have one more exhaust mount to add
need to add the 3 in 1 turn signals to my modified sub frame.
forks are way over due for a service

    holy jesus ... great work.

    is this a sxv 450 ?

the crf 250 valves are they made by wiseco and does they fit like oem or is some work nesserary ?

the cylinder is this made by you or is it possible to buy them for everyone ?

i am looking forward to the piston you will made.

i think this is all made for more performance and durability ... realy great work.

    ps:

"...but in the case of a 2 ring piston, it drinks oil hard under closed throttle"

you mean the oem piston/rings tend to this problem ?

The main thing which is missing on those engines is oil spray on bottom of pistons. And generally durbality of pistons is not that great (compared to some bigger bikes like CBR600/Ninja...p etc.)
