Why you should just go to Gabro

I have changed my bike from my 2015 to a new 2019 model, Gabro says the 2015 ecu will not work on the later bike, so I sold it through here.

I think the lad also frequents here from time to time so he might chime in.

His bike had been custom mapped by a very well known UK mainly Ducati mapper in the UK, when I spoke to him he said he was thinking of selling the bike as he thought the fueling was poor with far too much engine brake and in his words 'A hair trigger' of a throttle,

He bought my (Gabro) ecu and fitted it, this is his reply by text to me

Hi Mike, Fitted the ecu this morning and configured it to the bike, one word ''Fantastic'' really rideable now, all the aggressive engine braking has gone, and the hair trigger throttle also gone, So a massive thanks for the ecu

    Says it all really

I took everything off I had added to my 2015 prior sale, I did the deal on the new bike with Akra slip on and race map, I have fitted the RSV4 type cotton filter and holders to the 19 plus carbon parts and forged wheels, I planned to sell the EVO2 system........but it's such a lovely looking piece of art I have been considering buying the Akra link pipe L-A10E10 and fitting the EVO2 with the slash cut silencer, but thats going to cost about 300 for the link pipe plus I cant sell the EVO2 system so probably over 1K worse off

    But it does look pretty

Well said Mike , the Gabro ecu is a blessing , no other tuning device comes even close . I have had no one want to pay a fair price on my low mileage EVO2 either . No one is willing to even pay half for what an EVO2 system costs , it's crazy , so now it sits in my lounge room to admire its beauty .

The EVO2 system should come with a new sidestand for the RH side, that way the bike would lean the other way when parked and show all the lovely tube and weld work off better

Good stuff, but the Ape doesn't really have aggressive engine braking, IMHO, unless you are comparing it to an R6 or something... I see people constantly talking about bad the engine braking is, and I can only assume that the guys have never really riden big bore triples or twins before... The Ape, has nothing on them... haha

just my opinion, but the issue with engine braking is less about the magnitude and more about the abrupt transition.

Hmm, I love my gabro ECU on my 13' tuono as the smoother engine braking is amazing. My throttle does seem more sensitive in the fact that its extremely responsive in going fast. Definitely takes a bit more concentration for throttle control but it is so much fun. Now just waiting for options on updating the ECU as I have the rsv4 RF airbox installed.
