    ECU, dash, keys and lockset

    My 2007 V2 died on me two and a half months back. Just lost power in the middle of a corner. Rev counter needle stuck at 6000 rpm, no power to the dash. Bike has been at two repairers. First one couldn't find the fault. Second one couldn't get any response from the bike using the diagnostic tool, has started checking the system with a multimeter, but also suspects ECU. From what I can gather, ECU replacement means new dash, keys and lockset. So, I'm looking for these spares. If anyone has anything or knows where I could look, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

    ECU is swapable.
    No problem with locksets or codes etc.

    The ignition lock is linked to the dash which holds the immobilizer. So as long as you keep the dash you can swap the ECU.

    In me experience ECUís very rarely die. Was all wiring checked properly?

    Thanks for that. Yes I have heard that ECU failure is extremely rare. We are busy going through the harness at the moment. I'll post updates as we get further into this.

    Check the white connector that comes from the ignition barrel.
    I had the same symptoms when mine melted.

    Mine did.
    Cold starting was almost impossible.
