EFI problem with my sr 50 r factory 2005

hi guys, so I bought used Aprilia SR 50 R Factory 2005, all stock only extra giannelli v2 exhaust on, piaggio engine and fuel injection. When you turn the kill switch it does that bzzz noise and on dash red warning triangle doesn't go off and EFI with two disconnected wires comes on, when you start it all disappears, checked the injection unit and if I'm not wrong the fuel inlet and whole unit has a little space like 6 mm and I don't know if that's a problem, but I need help with that

So if I understand you correctly, everything works until you press the start button, and then what happens - the whole thing goes dead and doesn`t even attempt to start the engine?

Sounds like it's working perfectly. The efi warning always comes on when the kill switch is activated.

Yeah, sounds perfect to me! And, why bother even touching the kill switch? Just use the ignition to turn it off. Also, are you sure it's a Piaggio? Because typically the 2004-2008 models have Morini engines... Can you post a picture of the exhaust side of your scoot, I'd like to see the engine.

Yeah probably I will start using key, I can't send the picture right now but I am like 90 percent sure it's the piaggio, so I shouldn't worry about that EFI warning on dash?

It only happens when you use the kill switch, right? And the bike runs good otherwise? It's completely normal, no reason not to use the kill switch, but either way works.

On mine, I turn the kill switch back off after I kill it, then when I turn the key on it just goes straight to priming.

No man, you're golden! But, yeah, like the other guy said, if you use the kill switch just put it back in the run position after it's killed the engine. That way you won't come out some morning half asleep and not be able to figure out why it isn't working... It happened to me once and I felt real stupid after I noticed it!
