    Crash bobbins

I'm riding almost only on the track nowadays. As I learn more and get faster, it seems pretty clear that sooner or later I'll be getting a close up view of the asphalt. Obviously I want to mitigate damage in the event of an off. Replacement plastics and exhaust cans yes, and various aftermarket goodies are available such as levers, handlebars etc. I have been planning to fit bobbins but am confused as to where and what. Front axle, rear axle and frame seem to be the obvious ones but I've heard some horror stories about these things (particularly frame-mounted) doing more damage than good. Of concern is the radiator which sticks out the sides a fair bit and looks vulnerable. Any advice or experience in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for that. Axle sliders seem like a must do but frame sliders? ….. I think I might just take my chances without them and make sure I stock up on cheap plastics, bar ends, levers etc.

I'm glad that I have Woodcraft front sliders and RhinoMoto rears.
It looks RhinoMoto no longer make rear sliders.
