    Is this running rich?

I've realised that my bike sprays black soot from the exhaust all over the white cupboards I made in my garage...is this normal?

It smells like it's running quite rich (this might just be because I'm in a small area with the bike running, don't worry I don't spend long doing that) and I've been getting around 170 miles until the warning light comes on.
When I fill up it normally takes about 18 litres so I make it somewhere around 42.5 mpg.
How does this compare to your bikes?
    Cheers.

Hi Ollie I get 48-50mpg, so your not bad depends on riding style I guess.
Since I presume you start her in the garage, likely to be soot/dirt out the back with condensate from a cold engine on start up on the white cupboards more than fuel I think.

I would not say its "my" normal.
If you have tuneecu lower ift until it doesnt react well to throttle blips and then add about 5 units.

Cheers guys, I'll have a fiddle with tune ECU in the next few days and let you know what I find out.
