Rear Brake Pedal / Gear lever 2008 Trail

    Hi All,
Just had my first little get off on the green lanes and bent the rear Brake lever (appears to be made of chocolate!!) Ive bent back to fix but wondering if there are any other options for the part, possibly with a flip up foot rest?
Also I can see the gear lever going a similar way so any options for that
I will look at getting spares to carry around as well so if you have any suggestions for a good supplier that would be great.
    Cheers

Some where there is a link to the nice short levers from China .......

Rear brakes are over rated when off road. Wait until your side stand cut out goes.

    No, I frigging hate them.

But I hate us more for :-

    a) Not making the stuff
    b) Buying the stuff off them.

How can it be cheaper to make it over the other side of the world and ship it here!

We, as a nation of manufacturers, are screwed

The rear brake lever is made of chocolate (mild steel) for a reason you cna just be it back into shape. I've done this at least 6 times sometimes from a mega mangled state. I think the rear brake is brilliant because of this. you just need some big mole grips!

I have bent mine back a couple of times but this time it bent so bad it pulled the brake piston rod out and I couldn't get back in on the trail. Lesson learned!!

Had look at the S/S switch and looks very vulnerable so fashioned a little metal guard for it to give it half a chance!
