I always rated him. Thought he disappeared a little too soon. Never seemed to take himself too seriously, but I did read on a number of occasions that his mother was a BEAST!

Injury ended his career. At least he got a win, which is something that many never achieve.

Spies and Hayden both are on record saying that Stoner was the best rider they ever saw.

Dude was fast as fuck before injuries started piling on.

Still rides. As far as I can tell it's just dirty bikes now. KTM's.

I sat some rows up from her at the first Austin MotoGP. She spent the whole race looking in the stands yelling and waving flag. Obnoxious.

Saw him interviewed on BT Sport last weekend at Misano, said he'd still like to race but not at the level of Motogp or WSBK, he was showing more interest in Endurance racing.

If he's still suffering physically that would be hard.

Interesting that Ben is one of many riders that say Casey was the fastest/most talented rider they had ever seen, pity some of the 'fans' can't accept that.

Nice straightforward guy, no bullshit/PR speak, I like that.

Insightful about how the non-political guys end up looking bad. In Meine Story, Niki Lauda called Prost a really simple warm guy, while he said that Senna really got the political side of F1, but Prost is always portrayed as the political schemer and Senna the pure racer.

Here in the States, Spies is looked at more as a condescending rich kid di#khead rather than a national icon like Stoner who hung it up early. The unfortunate part is that he keeps opening his mouth to remind us all why...

Based on folks that know him, his shoulder was dislocating as he slept, while walking and pretty serious overall.
    Career limiting.

I’d actually forgotten that he was badly busted up.

That can be rectified Jed by wiring the joint (if I dislocate either of my shoulders again, it’s the route I have to take), but clearly not ta tenable situation if you race bikes for a living. As I said, I’d forgotten that he had the injuries he does.
