If you are unable to locate any, there is this option.

Round 2 is in the planning 3 Shires Head to Llangollen. Looks a bit more roady but what are likley to be some muddy tracks. A nice soft landing! anyone wanting to come along is welcome.

Looking at the damage to the rad, the two pins on the bits which attach the plastic protector can roll forward. It has done this probalby by sliding backwards off the rock and the protector hanger has bent, rupturing the rad. Bit of a one in a million event, and I'd say the rad protector is more useful than the chance of it doing this.

This is all that drained out of the water system.

a little over half a litre. The hole was about half way down the rad so with the pressure, I doubt there was any water in the rad.

My advice for if you hole a rad - keep on riding till you get home. avoid at all cost stopping for long times, that is where the temp will get uncontrolable.

I got home, 35 miles without having to add water. I never got over 3 bars.

Looks like a lot of Aprilia's come with the same footpeg design. That is purely the peg and means of fitting it to the bike. I've bought ones of a Tueno. or howevery you spell it.

Perhaps you might wanna think about investing in some of these wrap round bars too.
Think they might have saved the rad!

it was a bit of a one in a million really teh lump of the rock reached over the already bent crash bars and got the rad protector. a large steel pipe has bent my bars back so everything is hunky D.
