Crossing Over the Finish Line with John Edward

JOHN: Welcome to Crossing Over the Finish Line; my name is John Edward. What I'd like to do is just kind of go over some of my hand signals so that when we start connecting you and your past race results and teams will know who I'm talking about. You're going to hear me talk about people being over you, that's their championship position. Sometimes there'll be people under, that's their finishing order. When I get their race names I might be off on how it's pronounced, but not the first part or the initials. Your job is just to confirm or deny what's coming through, not to do your own reading, not do your own session. Don't reach for something to be what you want it to be. Just let it be what it is. Keep an open mind, I'm just going to where I'm being pulled.

Ok, I'm sensing some colors, I'm seeing some dark, crimson or red. And yellow, I'm also seeing some yellow. And a crest? Yes. I can see it clearly. It's the Spanish flag. Somebody from Spain.

    HECKLER: We're all from Spain!

JOHN: And now I'm getting a name. I'm hearing an 'L'. Is there a Lauren in the audience? Or Laura?

    JORGE: Lorenzo?

JOHN: Yes! That's it. Come on down young man.

    (applause)

JOHN: There a race that's trying to come through to you. I'm sensing some kind of a animal.

JORGE: I don't have any pets.

JOHN: It's very strong. A feline race, some kind of cat...

    JORGE: Catalunya?

JOHN: Yes! Do you have a race at Catalunya?

JORGE: Yes, that's where we're racing this weekend. How did you know?

JOHN: Now this race is sending me emotion, feelings of comfort and home cooked meals, and being tucked into bed.

JORGE: (Teary) It's my home race.

JOHN: I'm seeing a trophy now. A big one.

JORGE: Oh my god, I won there last year!

JOHN: And now I'm seeing stairs, four of them, and I'm getting a sense of being below ground and looking up.

JORGE: I finished fourth in 2017. And then in 2016 I crashed out.

JOHN: Okay that makes sense. The race is showing me people relaxing, like on a beach and a feeling of... I don't know, a vacation maybe. It's saying that you need to take the pressure off yourself about trying to impress the home crowd. I'm getting a feeling of glass, something fragile.

JORGE: I hurt my shoulder last year.

JOHN: It's saying that you're still struggling with that injury and pushing too hard might make it worse. That the injury is actually worse than you're letting on. It wants you to know that it will be here for you, and that you should use this opportunity on a track you love to come to terms with riding the new bike. Don't push it too hard, and the results will come.

JORGE: (whispering) Oh Cat... I love you so much.

JOHN: The race isn't leaving, it's staying around and showing me something new. I see something powerful, a bull maybe?

JACK: I've been driving a lambo!

JOHN: I do see some kind of vehicle but it doesn't feel like a sports car...

    HECKLER: We all race motorcycles!

JOHN: With lots of wheels. A car maybe? No, bigger. More than 4 wheels. A lot more! Some kind of trailer, or a truck. A Mack truck?

    MARC: That's me! I'm Marc.

JOHN: Marc? Is that how you say it? Ok Marc, the race is showing me that you have kind of a bullish personality. That you like to push your way through?

MARC: It's true! That's so weird that you'd know that!

JOHN: I'm sensing something under you and at the same time I'm seeing a sad bridesmaid! She's standing at the altar and looking at the bride and groom and wishing it would be her that's so in love. Why would it be showing me that.

MARC: I haven't won at Catalunya since 2014. Always I come in 2nd place. To Jorge, to Valentino, to Dovi. But I never take the top step.

JOHN: I'm seeing a changing of the guard now. It's saying that this will be the year where all of that changes. But only if you believe in yourself.

    MARC: I believe!

JOHN: It's saying that you can't just say the words, you have to take them in your heart and really believe.

    MARC: I believe! I believe!

JOHN: Okay, the race is leaving now. Thank you everyone for coming.

VALENTINO: What about me? Wasn't there a message for me?

JOHN: It's very faint. I get the feeling that it sees you, but it's not coming back. But it knows you.

VALENTINO: But I loved it so much. (open crying) Why wouldn't it leave me a message.

JOHN: (comforting) Sometimes it's just not meant to be. I'm sorry.

You've spoiled us budoist, we now won't be satisfied with any this-coming-weekend-race post without accent-appropriate quotes from at least three different contenders!

I am gunna put it out there and say that mm will win two more titles with Honda to equal the hated ones record. Then jump ship to another bike. I’m gunna say Suzuki or Ducati. Yuall heard it here first.

Wow, Lorenzo and Vinales in Q1? I mean, Lorenzo I am not surprised by, just disappointed. But Vinales is a surprise.
