    Yes, you can: te place for it is there;
    but will be useless: the dashboard wouldn't understand the signal of the sensor.
    I'll repair the reserve light and learn to estimate the level basing on the km you rode

    It's worth checking if you have a trail dash or a strada one. My trail has a strada dash (apparently some were changed under warranty I've heard), so I have had a fuel level sensor added to mine and the fuel gauge now works perfectly on my trail. A nice bonus.

    There are 4 wires which goes into the fuel tank.

    2 are to the fuel pump at the top (make sure you tighten up the contacts so they grip nice and tight).

    The other two lead to the low fuel warning light Orange and Green by the look of things (on the strada this is the fuel sensor). This might need testing or you might need to look for a loose contact.

    My fuel light was stuck for a while. I decided to keep riding until my tank was about 1/3 empty and then I shook the bike around violently, rocking it side to side, holding the brake and pushing forward, pulling back, etc etc.

    I started driving and the light turned off. (:

    perhaps a bad connection?

    If I could have chosen a manufacturer who had created an electrical connection within a fuel tank, I would have specified captive connectors to prevent sparks in a rather combustible setting. However, I'm sure the maker was well switched on to this fact and not pissed on a shitty Rose that afternoon.!
