    Mxv throttle body linkage help!

I am changing my mxv throttle body linkage over from the round hole to the slot (previous owner had it this way).

The arm after I took it out had a small Bush in the front hole (to front cyl throttle) but not one in the rear, the slot is also wider than the hole diameter.... Is seems very loose on the rear throttle body pin and the washer is just about big enough.... Question is should there be some of bush on this inside the slot?

Well.... I tried installing the way it was, the closest I could get the the rear throttle body to start to open was when the front was at 14%...with the adjustment screw back right out.

Decided to make a Bush for the slot. I used a Bush from a lever which was perfect fit both for the slot and pin on the throttle body and cut it down to size. The collar part was sufficiently thin that I could still install both washer and c clip.

Was able to adjust the screw to get the required 10% throttle body opening.

Yes I do have that manual, but it does no mention bushes.

Without a Bush the washer and circlip are barely big enough to retain the arm, and there to much freeplay in the slot to achieve the rear throttle opening once the front had covered 10% of the tps value. The closest I could get was 14%

With Bush I made installed I could adjust the balance to 10% as described in page 55.
