who's watching the 2019 IOM TT on ITV4?

bought my package so i'LL be able to atleast watch the catch-ups and live coverage of the TT on itv4.....i can't wrapp my mind around the fact the TT isn't already broadcasted live in 2019.it so doesn't make sens. seems like there's an hollywood company who has plan to broadcast live, but not for 2019.probably 2020.it's about time. i can see this becoming big dollars business for the island GVT. not talking about racers around the world who will try their luck at the TT. from the moment a motorsport event is broadcasted live on TV,the number of participants and sponsors increase dramatically.

i personnally will focus on my fav TT racers ,and i hope the best to those 3.mike dunlop, john mcguinness, ian hutchinson.

i hope the TT will not be the mirror of the NW200 for norton and mcguinness.if nothing has been done in the meantime between the NW and the TT,well, they should stay home and work for the 2020 event instead of showing up like unprepared juniors.....while,i also think that,if JMG really want another win,he better start to go out there and race some BSB or something because the sport is right now under the short circuit specialists assault ,which mean more speed than what mcguinness is used to.

on top of that fact,i suspect he lost several MPH along his three years off the saddle...but i still hope it isn't the case,i'd so like to see him matching joey dunlop 26 TT wins ,which means 3 more wins for mcpint. while...really,i'm not sure he has a 135mph lap inside him..not sure at all. that would be impressing big time. would be a little like bruce anstey who is asleep all year long, not racing at all, only to show up at the TT and destroying the competition.that would be massive.

hutchinson....wheew. his NW200 appearance was only that: appearance.but who can blame him.his left foot is not even half functionnal.what a hero this guy really is. resiliance has a name: hutchinson!! i hope the best for him.he still has 15 TT wins, and if his leg cooperate,i can see ian packing couple wins this year.but....well.poor guy,he paid a really high price as roadracer.

mike dunlop didn't made any sparks at the NW.in his case,i'm guessing he preserved the equipement and stamina for the TT.the guy is a pittbull, once he find the sweet spot he's tough to beat.i wish him at least 1 TT win this year.he piled up 18 TT win to this day,he's been lucky injury wise, hhe's still intact, fully healthy,in fact,he's never been as in a good shape as right now.something tells me he's gonna jump off the line like a raging bull.

for those who will watch the TT with passion as i am,well, have a great TT show.

I like youre post script, as I had a bike stolen and two outboards stolen a fortnight ago, from my property ,they had one away 2 years back, this time bike dumped on the beach, stripped bare, shame we dont have the same liberiist regard to putting scum bag rodents out of their misery over here.

Anyway yep the Beep used to show the NW200, and TT, but it is ITV4 now(same as Brit Touring cars and we get the edited Highlights of GP cars on Chanell 4 but the engaging Jensen Button failed to encourage me to subscribe to Sky sports car GP coverage for £10 a month, as I used to drop off during the few GPs ITV then 4 covered ,even so highlights of practice and the actual races just arent as interesting these days, might as well have atonomus racers(not like in the days of late greats like Villeneuve, my joint favourite with Jim Clark and of course James Hunt( that along with his great mate Barry Sheene made it all so much more glamerous, and the latest legend to leave us Nicky Lauda
Ihave BT Sport for Moto GP, but nothing like the whole lot on terresteral TV wherein your Beeb TV licence covered all

im with you on how straightening up ''rodents''' should be done . i don't think the cure is couple finger slaps and a hug.it's only encouraging their way of life ; stealing people's property, especially old people who's built this world , is something disgusting and should be severly repressed.

i didn't knew the TT was broadcasted entirely some time ago? why this has stoped ?

anyways....was looking at the ''highlights packages''' of itv4...not bad, they generally covers the first 6-7 firsts laps, then jump over the middle race and end up with the last 5-6 laps, all this assorted with couple on-the-grid interviews.better than nothing, while i'd like to see the races integrally.

you and i share the same taste in racing lol...gilles villeneuve....woaw.what a man and racer !! he was all about fast laps, did not cared that much about wins.not enough ; unfortunately, because in my opinion,it's what killed him.the story with didier pironi ; gilles was so angry,he had no business to go out there again for a last lap at zolder ,he was told to stay in,the qualif was about to end in a minute, even less...but he was extra angry like never before, and wanted to beat pironi's time at all price, because pironi stealed the victory off him at imola ,rolling over the team instruction on the last corner of the race.

i see sheen a little like guy martin; his presence on and off the racetrack was adding a lot of spices to the races.sheen was the golden boy, kind of flying over the typical racer's image, like guy martin, who always said that he don't see himself like a career racer. more like a determined and competitive man who wants to win,and love riding his racebikes on week ends..we know that the TT oils never really liked guy martin, the caracter. telling the world the TT is only a hobby for him wasn't something pleasing to hear from the TT org perspective....still,martin was lightening fast the second he was clicking gears down bray hill ,to all around the mountain course. as for many, i miss his presence.but he's been lucky with both of his crash .the one right at the apex exit of ballascary was horrible, and he's been extra lucky.jesus wasn't ready to welcome him, because normally you don't walk away from such crash in this sector of the course....iirc PAUL DOBBS got killed there the day before guy's crash.

as with the NW 200 2019,i wish there will be 0 fatalities.the nature of the course can kill for sure, but it's always a bonus when there's nobody killed along the 2 weeks of the event.

crapp!!practice and qualifying for supersport, lightweight and the newcomers speed test got cancelled due to low ceiling and serious mist in the mountain. postponed for tomorrow....while,side cars went on to race in the pre TT classic whatever race, then it all turned bad for the solo guys.

I'll own it. I don't have the balls to do that course at a good pace. Much less flat out like that video.

I also don't have $20K (or more) for the upgrades, nor a team of mechanics helping me, so there's that.

i wanted to register for the upcoming manx GP newcomers race for 2019. got an answer from acu that since they have a record number of racers who want to compete at the MGP,they are now limiting the age of entry for thye NEWCOMERS to 40YO . BUT, the E-MAIL answer i've got from ACU did not mentionned the age thing at first .i've got that cue when i called and got an interesting chat with an ACU staff LOL...i've studied the course in the last 2 years,my plan was to land there 2 weeks before the 1st pratcice sessions and ride the course on a scooter-bike-car 2-3 times everyday for 2 weeks, so i wouldn't had been completely lost in the 1st few laps-mandatory speed tests.

    i have my national racing liscence(CMA) + a quite extensive racing record,....but,nope ; MGP,not this year.

might look at different options in the wait for an ''open window'' for the manx GP.

seems like today's qualifier is a go.15 minutes delay, bike will take the track at 14:15.mcguinness must had felt the hot soup with norton,he signed a last minute deal with padgett to ride a 600 alongside connor cummins and dave johnson. no more bone with honda and the golf course LOL.

As someone that's provided financial support to a racer that's done it, your initial plan for understanding the course is lacking.
Your scooter rides should be 1 of many parts.

I would suggest you go to Duke Video and buy some of the "laps of the TT" videos they have for sale.
    Also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W78cETEHcmg as a start.
Keep in mind that that will only get you prepared for left/right of the course, and a general timing of where you are & what's next.

In no way, shape or form will that get you ready for the actual sensations that you get while riding: left, right, up, down, suspension feel, flow, visibility, blinding sun at times, flat light - which kills depth perception, etc.

If you really want to know how, go to the WERA forum and ask for input from: Critter, GPstar748, Tophyr and Olympus Racing about their training for their first ever.
    Critter has a finisher's replica.
    GPStar has multiple replicas.
Tophyr's a lucky motherfucker and wiped out on his R6 because he put his wheel 6inches out of line on the right and it went off the asphalt.
Olympus Racing's also a lucky guy. He crashed hard. He's still alive.

There's also another guy on the WERA forum that won on the Britten (Sean Harris). Unfortunately, he wrecked in Aussie or NZ superbike and no longer has memory. Still alive, just not with us. GPStar used his videos for training.

Not trying to dissuade you, but you should go seek more information, guidance, and help.

don't worry for me.i perfectly perform all the visionning and metal prep needed.at one point you have to be there to run around the course.the rest is only mental prep trough things like watching laps and memorizing what you see on vids-course's maps-etcetc...

seems like harrison posted a 126mph lap, followed by MD ,hillier...mcguinness good for a 117mph lap on the superbike.james cowton signed a scorching 120mph lap with his supertwin LOL.bike was leaving a track of fire 4 feets high lol.

mike dunlop and hillier seems at great ease right off the box.
