    Scarabeo rotax rear wheel play

I recently replaced my 99 scarabeo rotax rear wheel since the previous one had a crack. It was a used part since new ones are crazy expensive. Currently the rear wheel has a lot of play. I can move it easily. While driving it doesn't cause any wobble, but I think it probably is the reason my rear brakes are squealing quite a bit.

Is any play acceptable for this model? Could maybe the shaft be worn out? Please let me know.

the shaft itself or the rim is worn out.
Usualy there is no play in the wheels.

Is the wheel shifting on the shaft or is the shaft shifting in the gear box? You may be simply missing a spacer/washer on the wheel or perhaps needs to have the bearings changed in the gear case. Letting it go too long unattended could indeed lead to shaft or gear housing wear though so don't delay in correcting the situation.
