    Quickshifter for Aprilia Rs250

Has anyone experimented with the idea of wiring a quickshifter sensor into the side stand switch circuit to replace the side stand switch? Essentially it would be doing the same thing as the sidestand switch by cutting power to the ignition coils momentarily while upshifting? Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Interested to know if anyone tried it. It's for track use only.

cut time will be far to long average cut time on a q/s is around 40 m/s which is just enough time to unload the gearbox. The side stand switch will be on for 2 seconds or so. Best bet is to buy a aftermarket ignition , where as well as a handy performance upgrade they throw in a quickshift feature, just add the switch in the shift rod .............viola

I have a quickshifter on mine. Any old unit where you can put it inline with the coil signals will do. I got mine from Rising Sun Cycles in the USA, it was for a TZ, just needed the shift rod of the right length

Same here. Honestly I never got used to the Battleshifter and I never got used to GP shift. I was always better and had more fun using the standard shift as I can more accurately bang down gears when coming up to a turn by banging down instead of lifting up.

Never had fun on my bike once that happened.
