Suddenly there came a tapping, as of a tensioner gently rapping, rapping on my crankcase door. You heard me rapping right?

For any R owners looking to do this upgrade - it's super easy, just did it on mine. Everything bolts right in. The only extra piece you need is the rubber grommet for the top of the airbox where the cable comes out. Part #893752, a few bucks from AF1.

BTW quick question for Op3ragh0st - where does the ECU go on the bike? It looks like there are two pegs on the RH rear subframe where it could fit with some rubber spacers, but the pegs on my bike aren't threaded. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. Everything is indeed super easy. As far as the ECU, it attaches to the right side of the subframe at those two pegs you mentioned, they are not supposed to be threaded however there are two rubber grommets that slip into the controller box and then slip over the pegs. Very easy install. Harness is usually tucked near the airbox and zip tied.

Thanks - I figured it had to go there. I think I have grommets that I can repurpose, maybe I'll just zip tie it in place.
