    Matthews Fun Machines has closed.

I recently took my Guzzi at Matthews Fun Machines in Matthews, NC for some work. They have serviced my Shiver in the past and I was happy with them. They called me earlier this week and said the dealership has been sold and is being closed down. All of their stock is being sent to Charlotte Team Motorsports.

I learned the same info yesterday, when they cancelled my service appointment I made 5 days ago. A surprise. Now my nearest Aprilia dealer is 5 hours drive away. Or is there better news?

I would suggest 2Topia Cycles in CLT

Google them. The owner/master tech is a great friend of mine. He has owned several apes himself. Services my 2nd gen tuono.

    Its a full service shop.

    check it out.
    cheers!

NO!!!!! I hate to hear they closed.

Thank you AF1 for this forum. We can survive ownership with the now near nonexistent dealer network. But the brand won’t survive in the U.S.

So wait, 2Topia bought the franchises from MFM, or Charlotte Team Motorsports?

I just spoke with Team Charlotte Motorsports and they are working out all of the details, but it seems as if they are going to be an Aprilia Dealer in the future. Also, said they would be able to service no problem.

I hope the tech from MFM winds up at Team. He was very good.

Thanks for the info on 2Topia cycles. Hate they are uptown, but oh well. Better than no one.

I don't know why I am surprised. Going there was like going to a motorcycle shop back in 1965. The way they kept all those bikes outdoors behind the building was nuts.
