Hi all. I’ve heard of the benefits of a 48t rear sprocket but has anyone ever tried a 50t? If so would you recommend one over a 48t? Didn’t know they made them until I saw that renthal make one

With the 15T front sprocket, that would give you a top speed around 110 mph, but it would also probably allow power wheelies with no clutch. I'd say in the UK where you don't have a lot of wide open roads for top speed runs it would be pretty good.
If you don't plan to use the 15T front, I would not use a 50T rear. The larger rear sprocket is just adding weight (along with additional chain links). 1 tooth up front equals about 3 teeth out back. A 15/46 setup is the same as a 16/49 setup, and is lighter and cheaper to do.
For a proper hooligan bike in the UK, try a 520 chain conversion, with 15/50 gearing.![]()

I run 15-48, and I think it might be too much. For cruising at least, it's too much. But it accelerates like hell, power wheelies everywhere.
