    It started pre-igniting with the Malossi 80 kit. 2nd seize destroyed the Nikasil plating. Refitted the old Airsal iron 70 kit, and it continued pre-igniting. I reckon fuel companies have lowered octane rating.

    Ok got it. I work with Total UK who supply most of the supermarkets with petrol, I'll ask the question. Whose fuel are you using?

    Are you running regular or super unleaded? Maybe try a tank of Shell V power to verify your theory??

    Regular unleaded. For all I know, they could've watered down V power octane too. Rather throw the extra pennies at sherbet dip
