    2003 Yamaha WR250F F/S

    Greetings, Apriliaforum friends!

I'm selling my beloved Yamaha WR250F.

I'm a 50 year old, 'C' rider and have used this bike to ride trails and run occasional enduro races/hare scrambles in Maryland and Virginia. I'm the second owner of this excellent bike and I purchased it about three years ago from a good friend who bought it new in 2003. In twelve years he only put about 80 hours on it. I've put about 40 hours on it in the last three years.

The bulletproof, 5-valve motor puts out a ton of usable power through a six-speed transmission. All of the free mods to uncork its potential have been made - grey wire, throttle stop, o-ring, accel pump jet, etc (all of which can be found in the Thumpertalk.com forum if you're curious).

As you can see in the pictures, the current plastics are brand new (still waiting for the lower fork guards to arrive and those will be installed before the sale). I removed the original WR plastics/lights and replaced them with YZ plastics to save weight. Those original WR plastics will be included with the bike.

This past weekend I just dropped in a brand new NGK Iridium CR8EIX sparkplug, gave it an oil & filter change using Motul 7100 10w40, installed a fresh air filter, and checked the valve clearances. The o-ring chain has about 8 hours on it. The oil and air filter have been changed religiously. It was power washed after every ride and kept in a heated garage.

The bike has a ton of upgrades. Here what it comes with:

    - New Acerbis YZ plastics
    - FMF Mega Bomb header for more torque
    - Leo Vince titanium silencer
    - Moose carbon fiber header pipe guard
    - Tusk hand guards
    - Larger radiator on right side for increased fluid volume and better cooling
    - Tusk radiator cap with temp guage
    - Works Connection radiator braces
    - Upgraded silicone radiator hoses
    - Shorai Lithium-Ion battery
    - Tusk brake pedal
    - Tusk fuel mixture screw
    - Carbon fiber skid plate
    - 40 mm billet lowering link
    - Motion Pro Fork Bleeders
    - Michelin Star-cross 5 tires have about two hours on them. Knobs are sharp and they still look new.

Additionally, the suspension is currently set up for a 200 lb rider and was done by Corey at Protune Suspension in Ohio. The springs can be changed fairly easily and inexpensively, however, should you wish to change them.

The bike will also come with some original parts, extra parts, and consumables (oil filter, air filters).

    $2400.00 obo

Bike will come with a bill of sale containing the VIN, but no title as it didn't come with one originally.

The riding season is a few weeks away and this bike is ready to go - it needs nothing!

It's been a great bike and I love it. I'm only selling it because I'm giving a two stroke bike a shot and I don't have room in my life for two dirt bikes, unfortunately.

Thanks for the attention and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
