DO NOT DO THIS. Not sure who gave you that idea... brake cleaner is not to be used liberally. At best spray into a lint free towel and wipe the rotor surface after the work is complete.

Mild degreaser with a toothbrush on all the components first. Some emory pad(180 grit) for the rotors.
Disassemble the pads from the caliper and clean & rotate the pistons. Any pins should be cleaned and polished.
No dirt or debris should be left on the caliper. Reassemble with clean hands/gloves.
Bleed with fresh fluid. DO NOT OVERFILL the reservoir.

Brake Cleaners have to be used with caution as they can destroy rubber/plastic and some synthetic parts plus when heated can break down into hydrogen chloride or phosgene gas which can be quite lethal. Using them to clean parts that will be heated or welded has put many folks in the hospital and killed a few too.

Neither the regular or non-chlorinated are safe for plastics:

when used sparingly...no issues. Motorcycle brake components are not like
    automobiles.
