    Duc 695

I’m not really in the market for a new ride necessarily, but stumbled upon what appears to be a very well maintained 2007 Duc 695 for $2k. It’s got around 12k on the odo and the seller seems motivated.

He mentioned the low asking price due to the fact that the big maintenance is coming up and he needs the cash. I did notice a little oil leak, which from what I understand isn’t uncommon. It started right up, didn’t have any signs of being laid down and had a few carbon bits on it as one might expect. But other than a few aesthetic mods it's pretty stock.

Is this something I should shy away from, or something that could be a decent little commuter?

I’ve never owned a Duc, but am on year 8 of Aprilia ownership, and have had many, many other rides over the years.

    Thanks!

access Ducati forums -for valve maintenance intervals for that model. And yes that maintenance can be quite expensive ...
if you like the bike and cost.... enjoy the new ride

Thanks for the suggestion. I've actually been browsing some of the Ducati forums for info, but haven't found a ton of info on that model - I'm guessing due to its short production run (only 3 years before it was replaced by the compltely redesigned 696). And unlike Aprilia, there's a bazillion Duc forums. Anyone have any suggestions for where I can find the best of them?
