I'm so glad I missed the sale notice on this because I'd have been hard-pressed not to add another Capo (of course, you can't ride two horses with one bum so...). Nice to know all those spare bits are out there as our sweet rides get longer in the tooth. (Come to think of it, I've managed to amass a bit of a spare collection myself....)

So who's got spare plastic in/near SF bay area, that wants a spare Caponord to put under it?

Old ('03, 145k miles) with ugly plastic, but runs great. Dyno-tuned, Penske shock, Staintunes, Aprilia bags, topbox, centerstand, updated electrics, etc. Any interest before I go "best offer" on craiglist?

Sweet motor, but too big & heavy for my old knees.

One more and I could have my own daily rallies or start a Caponord rental operation.

What are you asking for it, I've a brother in Mill Valley who might be interested? (And be under no illusion, he's the resident Valley pauper - right guy, wrong location!)?

Mr Catfish's bike would be quite a catch indeed. Well used but also well minded, tuned and improved!
Be good to see the proto ecu tuned machine stay in the fold.

Do you really think an ugly, great running Caponord will sell there? Detailed photos will NOT help that cause! Hahaha! ;-)

A pauper in Mill Valley?!? Whooooa! ;-)

I see '03s with half the mileage going for $2-2.5K...

Howasabout $1000 or best offer. That's what I'll list her for on craigslist next week.

I wonder how many original owners are still on this forum. Can't be many. Sorry to see you go, but I do understand the issue of physical limitations.

Matt, I have a Suzuki DR650 that is built like a tank, and pulls like a John Deere. Runs 85 on the interstate, and gets 50+MPG. Easy to work on and plenty of parts. Hasn't changed much in 19 years. My arms are a little longer than when I first bought it. The torque is awesome. They are cheap used also. My 2008 with slight injuries cost me $1400. Could sell easily for twice that now that it is sorted out.

If I had the room... and then I'd be like that guy in San Rafael with the boatload of Cagivas. I convinced my wife that I need a garage out front so that I can keep the bikes there and the ride out over concrete is much safer than the 150' of deep gravel driveway. That is another year away though.

Hey, if it helps sell it there are tall rider saddles close by, just mention to prospects if they hedge.
