    DB killer install

I ordered this DB killer for my Austin Racing exhaust. It is the GP2 unit in the middle pic. To my understanding it goes inbetween the link pipe and the end can, Will it be self explanatory when I pull the can? I am not sure on orientation or whether it goes into the muffler or the link pipe??Click image for larger version.

The db killer on my Racefit goes into the end of the muffler. A single 4 or 6 mm screw holds it in place.
Couldn't imagine an insert going between the link/mid-pipe and muffler?

I just attempted to install the GP2 80mm DB killer flange but it is too wide to fit into the muffler and the link pipe assuming I need to install it into the baffle of the muffler. Attached are some pictures. It shows the orientation I planned to install it and how the flange it too wide to fit into the muffle therefore the link pipe as well. If I shave off some of the flange so it fits into the link pipe and muffler will that be correct? I am not sure I have the orientation correct because the DB killer can slide into the link pipe.

Most db killers go into the open end of the muffler, not the link pipe.

I was going to slide it into the baffle in the muffler but the flange is too wide. I plan to put it on a lathe and shave down the diameter.
