They are being imported into the USA once they have jumped through all the hoops and gone through the red tape

I'm in the south of uk and use DMA motorcycles they are an SWM dealer like your mate

there is one south of Swindon, towards Chippenham, also Aprilia dealer..

I happened to drive past.. and spotted the classic colourscheme - right back from my start in enduro's ( japs didn't make enduro bikes back then.. well - not for sale in the UK..)

once I'd turned the car around and parked outside I realised it was the same e-start 610 motor that I'd had 15 years ago....

nice bikes with a great look ,
Gori and SWM .. both with the Rotax mills were awesome 1980 to 83.. you could tell by the Gori saddles..

So, they are the old Castiglioni Husqvarna? Dirt Bike just tested the 500 and gave it a pretty good review. Supposedly the build quality is pretty high, especially for the price. 7995.00 versus 10k for a Honda/Husky/KTM. The ADV bike looks pretty interesting as well. Thats the type of ADV bike I need for the mountains here, something more dirt biased. Once again, 8995.00 versus 11k for a 690 Enduro.

AF1 is listed as a dealer on the distributors website. Who knew? To me this is a brilliant idea, not everyone wants or needs (really hardly anyone needs) the latest technology on or off road. Motorcycles are just too expensive. A good quality bike with good suspension, good brakes at a low cost point should kill.
