    Noisy engine

Right after getting my bike back from insurers and a nice lump sum I decided to spend some cash getting bits sorted, did an oil change the other day and maybe coincidental but the engine has a strange whirring noise that's quite quiet when ticking over but gets louder as the revs rise, pulling the clutch In makes no difference before anyone offers that bit of info also checked the clutch bearing and all seems smooth with no roughness, don't think the noise is getting any louder with use and after having a kawasaki on loan which was super quiet maybe its just I've got used to a quieter bike, any help much appreciated

If it's been parked for a bit you may have a sticking cam chain tensioners but it is a loud motor

Maybe try a thicker oil? My capo runs significantly quieter on Morris 15/50 than other oils, even Motul semi. I treat all my fuel with a fuel conditioner additive as a matter of course, have done for years now and it seems to settle the engine somehow. Just a thought ...

As a matter of course, they sound like you just pushed a shopping cart (sorry, buggy) down a flight of concrete steps. Ear plug or in-helmet speakers will take care of that for you.
