    Help needed....No brake lights

Hello chaps, I have a problem with the Capo, I have no brake lights....Recently the dash has been going dead due to the front centre fuse blowing 15a...I noticed yesterday that the front brake light switch had seized up and the terminals melted and were trying to set the bike alight. Having replaced the fuse all is well with the dash but I now have no brake lights....I haven't replaced the front switch yet but touching the wire terminals together is not bringing on the brake lamps, and despite the rear brake switch appearing to work visually, neither is that.....any ideas?

Have you checked the tail light bulb? If you are blowing fuses you have probably blown the brake lamp filament.

Bulbs both A ok.....stripped off the tail piece and found some clever Dick had wired up (badly) an extension to the wiring to a top box and prior to selling had simply snipped straight through both positive and negative cables and they were shorting......I still need front and rear brake switches, any advice on where to get them? its a 2006 mk 2 with ABS fitted.

Front brake switch doesn't look anything special so a bit of work on ebay with your old one to hand should throw up a reasonably priced replacement however the rear switch is a different story and when mine went I ended up buying a new one from Aprilia as none of the work rounds I found to use other switches seemed suitable to me.
