Now that's something I would buy if it came out as a 2018/19 model.....as last night as it looks just like the picture (no dilution/messing about by Suzuki).

It's worth scraping up the funds. I like that year as it had the next gen wheels and the front fender is a better design.

So much of the looks is the tank shape and the angle of the bottom of the tank. That line sets up the look of the entire bike.

I am gunna put it out there and say that mm will win two more titles with Honda to equal the hated ones record. Then jump ship to another bike. Iím gunna say Suzuki or Ducati. Yuall heard it here first.

Remember kids, short stubby pipes are STUPID especially for bikes like this, imagine jetting around all those reflected waves with big cam overlap and big carbs...the stuff of nightmare for a Tuner indeed. That last one however and the water cooled Buda conversion look way cool though, FAR more interesting than anything new to roll out of Suzuki in a LONG time.

That’s an interesting question really, when and where did a manufacturer lose you? What was the last year, make and model from each brand now dead to you for new bikes? I’ll start:

Honda, 1995 or so with loss of first gen CBR900RR and RC45, every newer model had more “tuned flex” or so other horseshit marketing hype that angered me, around 2007 I tried a CBR600RR again, while lighter it was not to my like and for a track bike an R6 from a decade earlier would still kill it.

Suzuki: for me personally the last year of the TLR1000 as flawed as they were showed they were done with trying to fight Ducati on their terms, and when they went cast frame on the GSXR750 about the same time, I have a really hard time getting excited about cast frames.

Yamaha: their pinnacle bikes to me are they last couple generations of TZ250’S and the R7 but I’ve never totally lost faith in Yamaha, they have had their issues but owned them and still make arguably the most reliable of the Japanese bikes if not the most powerful.

Kawasaki: For me personally probably the long delayed end of the ZX7R/RR series though they still make some impressive machines and extraordinary motors provided you don’t expect more than about 40k miles out of them, they have not abandoned getting new riders in, them and Yamaha still top my Japanese grouping in a weird way.

BMW, loved the HP2 series, the S1000rr series while mechanics are neat has always felt like a late model GSXR to me, think they lost me with fuse boxes, when the ecu started being allowed internal brakering of circuits and even sporty bikes had dozens of canbus components...

Ducati. The Panigale series though I was not ever as fond of 1098/1198 as the 999 and preceding bikes. The heat issues for the rider, the insane complexity of service and such on newer machines...eh, the V4 is cool but I’d prefer an Aprilia.

Aprilia despite the technological revolution still makes bikes that are serviceable and soulful and hateful powerful now with the V4’s, I’ll be wishing for a long time I guess for them to get back into the newer riders game.

MV Agusta: briefly regained respect with the F4 1000 CC motors but the triples seem to have serious issues and the arrogance of not fixing the cooling on the F4 series for so long to keep the clean looking side fairings, with the 750cc motors it was tolerable but they were not that fast anyway. I have hope for them yet but they have nothing I truly trust with my own money RIGHT NOW.

Triump: Still liking the resurrection and midsize bikes, their cruiser and standards keep getting better

KTM: Still respect what they are doing, despite issues an RC390 would be a really fun sporty bike track toy and they are not afraid of two strokes or new thinking there and in other engineering ways.

Guzzi: still getting better and actually simpler in many cases

Vespa: they do very little wrong, could make serviceability on front end a little better.

I’ll let you guys add to the list...gotta go
