    Nordkapp trip

    Hi gents,
Just completed twenty two days trip , Croatia-Nordkapp-Croatia.
In generally it was quite hard due a lot of rain we had over whole trip (15 rainy days) but we managed.
Aprilia was running great except few days in heavy rain where she was trying to give up, but after removing the gasoline tank and cleaned all visible connectors and ignition coils with contact cleaner spray she lived again. For sure she does not like to be wet

Russian border is completely disaster and each crossing or leaving Russia took us min. three hours with a lot of paperwork and stupid checking of our luggage.

i would love to but the necessity to earn money for the up keep of my familly prevents such an undertaking. how many weeks would it take?

I think like Jake I'd smell divorce proceedings if i was to undertake that

Cablo, very envious of your trip, well done! Great that the capo only had forgivable/sortable issues. How did the GS get on, any problems with it?

Fantastic, thanks for sharing, nice to know your panniers survive a laydown, I’m not sure how mine would survive. Love the rubber chicken.

I presume it is deliberate but you realise your username is the word ‘bald’ in spanish , I only noticed as toe cutter couldn’t even bring himself to spell it properly fnar

I would love to do a proper tour, AndyB’s Morocco sounds appealing too but time (rather commitment enforced lack of) is the great enemy. The Tuono boys have just returned from Los Picos in northern Spain which looks superb.

Nice collection of stickers Calbo, always great to see a well travelled Capo fully loaded!

Its about 4000km each way by road: there are no ferries to anywhere in Scandinavia from the UK now.
The Immingham to Brevik freight route seems to have been shut to car and bike passengers by the UK Border Force.

    So thats 8000km = 5000miles. About 17 days at 300m per day.

Anyone else crazy enough to give it a go?
    Wild camping of course.

Anyone know of an alternative sea crossing to Norway or Denmark from the UK. Something off the radar?
