got the carbon bike together, finally

here are some photos of my clean but not yet 50Joe clean bike.

    redone with:

Vertex pistons single ringers, squish set to 0.028"
the tuning works cylinder heads with avgas inserts
the tuning works power valves, billet pulleys, and cables
carburetors set up to kit specification, deletion of pilot air solenoids, and Y of single main air solenoid to both carburetors
italia compositi carbon fiber airbox that seals to the bottom of the tank
P3 unlimited pre preg dry carbon mk1 fuel tank
P3 unlimited pre preg dry carbon fairings
B-Spoke engineering self supporting rear seat
AF1 racing front and rear carbon fiber fenders
    Aprilia RSV4 rear shock
all electronics moved to the front of the bike with custom mounts that I 3d printed out of carbon fiber reinforced nylon
    Zeeltronic 20V
    ceramic coated jolly motos

i think that about does it, it's time to get it on the dyno, get it painted, get a seat pad on it, and then start enjoying it.

    I haven't weighed it yet.

next on the list: ohlins and lightweight wheels

caution: the use of motorcycles may be habit forming. side effects include purchasing multiple examples of the same bike, in different states of tune, different years, or different models altogether. some motorcycles may be not running when purchased. some parts are no longer available. there are rare instances where aprilias are bought over the internet and upon arrival, they are not as were originally disclosed. there is a small group of people who cannot handle two stroke engines and motorcycle maintenance. if this is the case, you may not be a candidate for Aprilia RS250's.

Aprilia. Ask your doctor if the RS250 is right for you.

Thats not too shabby at all, i imagine you are quite chuffed- just wondering where you might attach the panniers/rack/box to that self supporting seat unit when you go touring/camping

thanks everyone. i forgot to mention some excellent upgrades were the acossatto fuel cap (no key needed), the pingel billet petcock with adapter from matthias, and from him i also got the brass choke fittings to replace the broken plastic ones. lastly i ordered a set of those chain adjusters from him / the tuning works so i will be putting them on eventually.

Excited to see some numbers, both weight and HP! Suddenly, 280 lb sounds heavy.

    disappointment time:

    front wheel 148.5 lbs
    rear wheel 128.4 lbs

    276.9 lbs total weight
full fluids, with about 2 gallons in the tank

really the only thing i see losing more weight is wheels and expensive titanium hardware...

i'm going to weigh my dads bike next, but this time it will be full fluids minus gas in the tanks, and see what each bike weighs at the same time, same day, same humidity, same rotation of the earth lol.

my dads cup bike has shark skinz, arrow pipes, gp tech fairing stay, stock subframe, stock air box, stock inner rear fender mount, etc.. much more traditional cup bike spec.
