However, I've heard through various channel that GPS is not banned in MotoGP. The engine maps are configured to match each different sectors and adjust the parameters to match perfectly the need of the rider. The bike knows which sectors it is currently via GPS and it is programmed that way, sector 1 turn 1,2,x,x, sector 2 turn 1,2,x,x, etc therefore it seems it should be 11DOF instead of 10DOF ?
The rules state that as of 2010, the only GPS equipment allowed on the bike will be that placed there by Dorna for TV purposes, and that GPS system may not be connected to the bike's ECU or any other control system.”

Good take on something that didn’t happen.

Dont you think that race direction, with all the replays available to them, if he had been forced wide would have accepted it as a racing incedent?

Just to be sure I went back and reviewed - He overcooked the corner, was in the wrong place on the track and ran through the chicane.

Well we seem to have alternate views, I'm happy to leave it at that.....

But feel free to dissect the corpse if you wish......
