    Aprilia RS250 refresh 300cc lots of new parts

    I have owned my rs250 for 8 years now.. It's never had any problems apart from a faulty side stand switch and the normal jumping out of 2nd gear. So going to be doing a full restore / refresh.. Because it's showing its age now. i have bought all the parts now ready to be fitted. i was going to keep it 250cc but decided to go for a 300cc conversion.. i will be adding more pictures later

    Originally I was thinking of just tuning it as a 250 but decided to go for a 300 conversion. It was either the tuning works 300 conversion or colin's. so thought about it for a while and went for thetuningworks 300cc conversion mainly because of the heads look really good. But to be honest I'm never going to change the inserts..but I will probably go for colin's conversion on my next engine I do..Click image for larger version.

    Ooh thats a lot of pound notes there, Having travelled the same route I am sure of that, good luck with the build - Ignitech or Zeel dealing with the sparks?

    My zeeltronic turned up the other day. I will first start it with standard ignition.. Just in case of any other problems

    The next purchase was straight cut primary gears in standard ratio from MICOZZI INGRANAGGI. He is in italy and does a lot of gearbox parts for the rs250 and rgv.only takes 4 or 5 days to arrive from italy to uk

    caution: the use of motorcycles may be habit forming. side effects include purchasing multiple examples of the same bike, in different states of tune, different years, or different models altogether. some motorcycles may be not running when purchased. some parts are no longer available. there are rare instances where aprilias are bought over the internet and upon arrival, they are not as were originally disclosed. there is a small group of people who cannot handle two stroke engines and motorcycle maintenance. if this is the case, you may not be a candidate for Aprilia RS250's.
