My RSVR is sitting in my garage, totaled from a texting teenager who rear ended me, at 41,516.

I was on track to easily pass 50,000 this year before getting hit. I plan to get it back on the road, hopefully with some nice weather left. I doubt I'll make it anywhere near 50K in 2018, though.

Well before mine went out the bike started popping on decel, a little at first which turns into more like backfiring. I did local riding like that until I couldn’t ignore it any more. Was due to spark no longer being hot enough to burn fuel completely was what I was told by the mechanic that changed mine. The bike gave me plenty of advanced notice but if you notice that check voltage meter at stop light. Should be 12.5-13.1 at idle to 5k rpm. If below 12 at idle you need to have stator looked at/replaced.

Somewhere in the neighborhood of 70k miles on my 07 Tuono. Original dash needed to be replaced last year after water got inside . Second owner, bought it salvage with 23k miles as an insurance loss 5 years ago. Been having some overheating issues recently. Overall, it's been very good to me.

Picked up a 14' Tuono V4 last month. Debating whether to keep the gen2 as a second bike. Aside from the name, they are such different machines.

It seems from this forum that the V2 is way more reliable than the V4.

Wow! Are those mostly commuting miles? If so, how are your wrists feeling?!
Kidding aside, what's the most major stuff you've done to maintain this mileage (aside from stator)?
What mileage/km do you change oil?

I do oil changes at between 4,000 and 5,000 Klms.
Other than the stator I have had no major problems, but have just had to replace the crank position sensor.
Most of my riding is around town but at the end of last year I did a 10,000 klm trip across Oz and back.

'07.5 Tuono R with 46,358 miles today. OEM stator replaced with Rick's 1/11/15 at approx. 23,700 miles. Then had to install 3rd stator (2nd Rick's) at 44,698 miles last August 13th. Recently purchased a 370w rotor off of an alledged '09 blue RSVR via ebay. Yet to install it. Entertaining, the T12 cooling mod as well. Strictly use Motorex 10w-50 full synthetic averaging a change about every 5,000 miles. Mostly spirited running of Northern California's glorious twisties, with side duty as lane splitting commuter.

Purposely wanted a Rotax after having such success racing a bone stock '00.5 Mille R with the AFM for near 29k hard race & trackday miles with no issues. That engine eventually developed an oil weeping crack in the left case at the base of the rear cylinder where a stud entered. I had made a repair weld in that area when a snapped chain ripped into the clutch slave mangeling the slave's mounting points. Gotta wonder if that hadn't happened if the cases would've lasted even longer. These Rotax's have a proven longevity for me.
