Can we get an actual answer please...

Ok guys i want to know which is the best way to go. Gabro ecu flash, bren tuning flash or this open flash tablet get up. Lately we have been bombarded with all kinds of info and choices. Would be nice if someone can simplify all this mumbo jumbo so us the consumer can make the right choice.....thanks fellas.

Its not as simple you see.All these guys are selling their version of he race map.Ive just ordered a Race ECU.I did so because it was cheaper and it’s Aprilias Official map.
Anything goes wrong and there should be no hassle with warranty.
    This was my choice.
If down the line a few ponies are important to me(I doubt it)then I may get one of these options.

I've had tomik's flash on mine for 2 years now. Works perfectly.

Someone told me these tablet setups remove the Aprilia maps and write there own, and ocassionanly. Not all the time. Occasionally, they act up and basically you have a bricked ECU as they do irreversible things.
I also understand that Aprilia supposedly gave a handful of race teams around the world. The ability to tune the Aprilia map, rather than overwrite it, and I been made to understand that this is what the likes of gabro and tomik do.
Take it for what it's worth.
I dunno how accurate it all is, but personally leaning towards gabro or just an off the shelf Aprilia race ECU.

Just to add to the questions here.. anyone know is there any difference between a race ECU vs a stock ECU with the official exhaust unlock code? Thanks!

. I’ve tried the race ecu, Gabro and BT. What exactly are you looking for and what year bike is this going on?

I don’t think so. But Aprilia say that the unlock code is for use with Akrapovic exhaust.
They say the race ECU is for use with anything else. They could have their own reasons for differentiating in this regard.
    But I guess I can’t answer your question 100%.
    Gabro should know.

I personally wouldn't pay too much attention to this as it is no real gamechanger. Sure you can make the bike this and that but 99% of it is assdyno and subjective thoughts. My rule is, if the "mod" doesn't make 30% or more difference from stock the change won't have a lasting feel. And don't get me started on part throttle powergains ;-) Limiters.....limiters....

I think as long as some sort of custom flash is on there you'll be ok...

Stock works fine too.......it's not broken when leaving the factory it's just complying to several pollution/noise/safety laws etc.

It conforms to rules...but in all fairness they aren't performance based....a stock flash will usually result in a anarchy throttle from the word go for example...

Yes, but people with no experience and no clue tend to see these "flashes" as more as they really are and that is what the business want them to think.

PLEASE............Dont try to fix something that aint broken....It's probebly you that needs fixing ;-)

What I try to say is that it wont change your life, it wont make you much faster but it could (track bike)

About the anarchy throttle, that is usually on 0-10% throttle and looooow revs, those gains I can understand but you dont see that in advertising...

There is no best, it all depends on what you want.

The main reason for me to get a different map was to smooth the ride out a bit. Low speed fuelling seemed pretty lean to meet emissions regs. IMHO the few HP you get from a good tune is incidental, the increase in pleasure from a nice tune, although subjective, is worth it.

    Cheers
