New to the forum, new to Aprilia!

Hello all, new owner of a 2007.5 Tuono. The bike came well equipped with most of the minor irritations already addressed. I have had a few quick rides and one loger ride through the North Ga mountains and really love the engine on this thing. Still getting accommodated to the higher bars and less aggressive riding position.

That being said does anyone have experience with DanMoto rearsets? They are significantly less expensive than the AF1 pieces. But I have found that you usually get what you pay for...

Just hoping to hear pros and/or cons! Also any other ATL area riders on this forum?

Hi and welcome, nice looking example. Dont know about dan moto rearsets but a few members have adapted RSV4/TuonoV4 OEM rearsets with success. They are fairly cheap as those guys are upgrading, the V4 brake m/c is night and day compared to our V2 m/c and it gives you a shift rod which allows standard or race shift, plus the option of adding a quickshifter via the rod.

Thanks jess67, I will do a little research and will update here. I am a tinkerer so looking forward to tinkering! Also, to catching up on the many forums and tech tips.

Welcome! There is an active North Georgia Rides group, so look up that forum thread. They get together frequently to ride. Nice looking bike, BTW. Never seen one with the gold anodized forged wheels. Nice touch and the forged wheels make a difference in handling. Enjoy your new ride!

Welcome. You might want to consider Aprilia Performance rearsets: Fairly inexpensive, fully adjustable, and for me at least, they improved shifting and braking considerably over the stock parts. Also, while you are switching to rearsets, you should probably relocate the rear master cylinder. There are several threads about this modification here in the forum.

    Enjoy the bike!
