    Thread insert for chain adjuster bolt?

    So I'm done googling my threaded insert is wanting to fall out any ideas on how to fix it?

    First post...straight in with a question.
    An intro would have been nice....but never mind...next time maybe?

    What exactly do you mean by a 'threaded insert'?
    Is it the bolt that's wanting to 'fall out'?
    Assuming that's the case, it would maybe appear your s/a chain adusting thread is stripped and fucked, probably be repaired ok with a helicoil or similar.

    If the threads themselves are coming out, you'll want to drill and use a helicoil to bring it back to the correct size of the OEM bolt.

    I had to do that on my superduke.

    I apologize for the no intro...a previous owner put a random bolt in it and I ordered a replacement. However the replacement is a bigger diameter. Either way I was messing around with the assembly and tightened the adjuster all the way in and it forced the aluminum insert out. I have never seen something like that before.

    There is no insert as delivered from aprilia. If there is truly an insert coming out I suggest someone installed it after it was delivered. Post a picture if you can.

    Agreed. Possibly a helicoil?
