Hi guys and galls. Could someone confirm whether the Ohlins standard rear shock from RSV2000 will fit directly to my 2004 gen1 tuono or whether I would also need early plates and dog bone?

They are different. Need plates and dog bone to make it function as engineered.

Spencer, thanks. I have found out that it is ap8270 which is probably gen2 shock.

I take K&N out to clean it and lubricate. Also I found that one spark plug cap from rear cylinder head wasn't fit correctly on spark plug itself. I make it fit good and take it for a ride. Now I know why it was vibey. It goes on one spark on rear cylinder. It runs good again.

Well I finally bought a real house and was able to move both Tuonos from a lanai/carport under tarps to a proper garage. Now if I can finish getting our stuff out of the old house and pack into the new house so I can make the garage useful (bikes are buried behind boxes and other crap) I might actually be able to work on them and get them road worthy again. Money has been tight while I've been in school and just haven't been able to afford tires, chains, sprockets etc. (something more pertinent always seems to come up costing $$). Almost done with school but so far the job search isn't going so great though.

I rode the piss out mine and they thoroughly responded well to my flogging. 80K miles on the red one and it keeps putting a smile on my face. And because I wore out a rear tire Saturday, Sunday mornings jaunt was done aboard the Racing. Same bike you say, not exactly. Some days I wonder, What should I get next. Then others I say why? To be honest a few V4's were along this weekend and I was lusting.

Mainly, new batteries, tires, chains and sprockets (new seat for the V4, FL sun has not been kind). That all adds up quickly but I've got some money coming in that'll let me get the stuff I need. Now it's really just getting all the crap from moving out of the garage so I have room to work. Maybe I'll spring for a compressor and a lift if I can find a lift at a decent price. Neighbor up the street has one that looks like it's being used as a storage shelf but it's a big lift fit for a Goldwing by the looks. School has spoiled me, don't like being hunched over with the bike on paddock stands if I don't have to.

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind, might hit you up on the sprockets later. New, house so much to do and buy, upgraded from a maybe 1000sq ft 3 bedroom manufactured home to a 1900sq ft 4 bed, 3 full bath house with a pool and garage. Have to furnish the spare bedrooms, extra family room and need to repair some stuff around the house. Fun times.

Looks like you need to get yourself a scooter, your wife has more toys than you do.
