    D’oh!

    Some 200 street miles and 80 track day laps later I might have developed a severe gearbox issue.

    So, in order to ride I need to drop this one and put the standard engine in and ride.

    It means going into to this issue won’t be a priority before the season ends. Looks like the engine needs to come apart. Gotta build it better this time then.

    Bike won’t pull. 1st gear is like 4th gear. Engine idles on neutral and took revs without unhealthy sounds, I can find all gears, I can push the bike (will see about turning the rear wheel the clutch engaged and a gear on). However, I cannot turn the engine from the rear wheel even on 6th gear.

    So, first suspicion is the box.

    Bike stuttered one lap after a missed downshift from third to second.

    We’ll see....

    Try remove clutch itself and turn gearbox by hand. Sounds like bad bearing or something too tight.

    I would unpack the clutch. Sounds more like clutch or engine. Or could be on the input shaft. With the clutch plates out you should be able to isolate the problem to the gear box or clutch/engine.

    Yep... I thought about that as the clutch needs to come out anyway. If it is OK I want it in the standard engine.

    This is a pretty damn humbling moment. One spark plug wire was loose from the coil. It's working again.

    LOL - if your modded engine does not struggle to rev in neutral with 1 cylinder running it must be a beast I've had singles running in the early days before my gabro chip, and fouled, and it is very obvious when 1 spark plug is not functioning.

    Anyway great luck for you, great to find a cheap easy fix

    I have not ridden my bike for a month or so, always felt too hard, went for a ride yesterday still love it.

    PS i've got a TTS slipper for my V2 race bike, do you have any tune advice for it?

    PPS i've got an IRC electomechanical blipper as well :P

    I have 3 Barnett heavy duty springs and the TSS spacers that give less slip.

    Clutch plate assembly is exotic as two steel plates go together:

    Engine............................................ .................................................. ....clutch pressure plate

    Standard one:

    Suggested one for TSS:

    yes, blipper intallation could be a little tricky, but we are lucky becouse our bikes has the fast idle lever, the blipper actuator can be tied to it:
