    1299 hp?

Does the 1299 Panigale come straight from the factory with the full 205 hp or do you need to get the ecu flashed like the Japanese bikes?

I think that is crankshaft, so 185-ish at the rear wheel.

Perhaps they should adopt Rolls-Royce claims and merely describe it as "sufficient", because anyone able to ride the bike and utilize more power than it has stock probably gets paid to ride anyway.

Yes 205 at the crank stock, you see figures of 185 - 192 on the dyno around the place. Tuning doesn't give much more but does smooth out the low speed running.

    Cheers

My klx250s is rated at 22 hp(crank). I put the FMF full system, K&N Filter, and better sparkplugs.
I must be pushing at LEAST 28hp now.

The reason I say that is to say that once the road gets nasty, rocky, loose gravel, and you either swim the stream or p/u your bike and walk it, the bigger bikes tend to fall back a bit....

I have a 16 1299s and it is full power. Many people may ride a 1299 and feel like the bike is down on power but the power is just sneaky.

Yes the power delivery sneaks up on you, the whole package slips through the air making you think your barely moving, 160K at 5000revs from memory then the 1299S power comes in big time around 6000revs, then its holy fuk, 240K and ripping still. I'm happy with my 1290GT, its fast enough, an it at least feels fast.
