Got the R3 put back together and ready for our 3rd ultralightweight round in 1 week. Had to do a little fiberglass work on these while waiting on new ones from Motoxpricambi. Hoping to move up on the board overall as the last race had us drop a few postions. Sitting 8th overall at this time out of 32 (Four of those are kawi 400 in 500 class, we are in 300 class). Will also be sprinting the RSV4. Was at Laguna Seca last weekend hoping to see our teammate race the MotoAmerica junior cup, unfortunately he went down in practice and did not make the race, he will be fine.

Racing Recap from CMRA race weekend at Cresson, TX 26-28 Jul 19.

Well one thing after another with the Aprilia.

Friday practice went well, did three afternoon sessions on the RSV4 tires from last race. Saturday morning I began removing the rear wheel for new rubber to race. Had to hammer the axle out to find it had a significant bend from my last crash so unable to race the Aprilia this weekend. Wheel rolled fine prior to finding this out.

Our 3 rider ultralightweight endurance team Torque Addicts competed in the 3rd round race Saturday.

Our first rider started on the 3rd row of a 28 bike grid. He dropped back to 18th before a red flag and restart. I went out for the restart, 18th the on the grid. Had a great start but within a few laps had another red flag as a Kawi 400 that went down became engulfed in flames(rider was okay). I went back out for the restart 17th on the grid this time. Got a great start and moved up to 8th place by the first restart lap 25.

I only had one practice the day prior and took a few laps to get my groove. I dropped to 14th, but worked my way back up to 8th place before my teammates stint. After the refuel we hung between 9th-11th place and finished 9th overall and 4th in our class (300 class), 5 bikes were kawi 400s. Think we have enough points from this round for overall podium contention in our class. Two more endurance races to go for the remaining season.

Will have the Ape ready for next race weekend Aug 16th-18th.

    Bike from second red flag.

Race Report from CMRA Round 6

After finally getting the RSV4 back to together I was able to get in some sprint races. Found out my back forged wheel was bent from my last down, luckily kept my old cast wheels.

    Superbike A Novice

Started second to last row with 12 racers. Got a slow start as I bogged the bike on the start, but was able to work my way up through the pack to a 4th place finish.

    Formula 40 HW

Started near the back again, wave race with experts taking off first then novice. I got a good start and was passing through some experts riders, then attempted an inside pass and hit the rumble strip. Had to stand the bike up and went off track. I was able to get back into the race and finished 2nd in the the HW class.

    Formula 1 Novice

Started from 9th on grid, was able to move through pack up to 2nd on the 4th lap and maintained for a 2nd place finish.

Feel pretty good picking up two podiums after missing our last 3 sprint rounds.
