You give me plenty of notice and I'll do my best!

    The location looks superb.

Had a shake down ride me sen..

Plus this..I was at Squires sat minding my own business, simply watching the world go by and enjoying the sights, sounds and smell of bikes for the first time this year, awesome, 45 years biking and still love every moment of it.

I noticed a guy doing some filming with some pretty hi-tech gear, looked very professional, anyway he set it up pointing at my Rex so I asked what he was up to, turned out he was filming for this years Air Ambulance series and sort of implied us bikers have our fair share of need for their services (no idea what he meant by that ) he says "are you hanging around for a while?" I'm think I hope he isn't on the pull, he did seem like a bit of a lovey but all he needed was some footage from on bike and asked if I would strap on a camera and ride oop't road and back, I say's "yep, why not"

He set up just outside the entrance and gave me the thumbs up, I rode out and passed him while he followed with the camera, I rode off, under the bridge and toward Sherburn, I got stuck behind a car for a while but the there was a left, right bend coming up so as the car approached the bend I took off, nipped round the outside on the bend (road ahead was in plain sight and clear) nipped in and leaned in to the right hander, only to look at the clock and see 85mph, bugger!! I found a place to turn around and headed back, nicely tucking in behind a couple of 1970's bikes, followed them back, he filmed me turning back in to Squires, took the camera and said thanks..

So, throughout the series they will use footage from the day, hopefully there'll be a nice GREEN Rex on TV, even if it's only a quick glimpse, he may also use the overtake footage to show what not to do if you don't want to use the services of the Air Ambulance but in fairness what it looks like on camera is not always as clear as the rider saw it.. officer..

    That was my day...

Look forward to seeing that clip Windy!
You should have a trip out to http://www.jemspeedshop.co.uk/ with the Mrs. I was at their launch last Saturday with some bloke called Carl Fogarty. Some quality bikes there, plus there's a cafe, and you can get yer haircut and a tattoo! Something for everyone...

Finally got the Tuono up and running again after a few weeks of dicking around trying to fix an electrical problem. WooHOOO!
Parked up at the Pondo for a bottle of water...bumped into Ali Pisha.....great to see him again.
Fuck, those Tens are big fuckers aren't they?
Then up to Bala....fucking carnage up there. 3 accidents. 2 bike related.
    Loads of cops/unmarked cars/police bikes/camera vans...etc,etc.
Put the bike away with that niggling feeling that there might be a NIP in the post...oh well....

Hairy...hold fire on that tattoo mate.....remind me and I'll I bring my crayons when we go to France.
I'm good at colouring in..... I don't go over the lines much either....

    Hi Keef,
Well, with Harry and Andy etc, we covered most of Wales, north, west and south. Some marked police cars yesterday, but didn't spot any vans or unmarked cars, but you never know. Didn't see or cause any accidents, and lovely and sunny in the most part except for Saturday morning. Certainly not 'bike fit' but what with Friday as well I covered about 1,000 miles, so all good for track days on Thursday and Friday at Anglesey....weather looking ok thus far...fingers crossed.

What's yer budget? I'm sure that between us we can locate something suitable... At the end of the day, I reckon it'll be better value to buy one and then sell it if you need to rather than renting.

I wonder what HarryH would charge (mates rates) for a week's rental?!?

    This.
You're looking at £450-£500+ for a week on a reasonable bike.
+ insurances and admin etc...and if you stack it...costs get stupid.
    Way, way cheaper to buy.
Buy at the right price, punt it back on when you get home.
You've got to be really unlucky to lose that much over a week.
You'll even be able to get 11 months of the road tax back.
Might be worth buying sooner rather than later though....just so you can give it a bit of a shakedown.
ISTR Slim bought an old Pan Euro for one of the Honfleur hoons...went ok too...and 'twas cheap as chips.
Mind you the mirrors didn't survive the speed humps...

If you buy a solid shitter for the right money, you'll only need TPF&T insurance (cheap as chips) and when you hurl it at the scenery or over a cliff, then no bother eh....?
