And I thought you were retired these days so what's to stop you going on two trips. You'll only be gardening or sitting there pipe and slippers otherwise.

Yes same address. If you sent me an email recently I deleted it . I've been getting spam emails for the last couple of years, about 15 pretending to be from "Jon" and 4 or 5 from "Martin". I probably deleted your pukka one by mistake. I'll check first before I delete any more.

Most of what Jon contributed to this forum could be classed as spam so I'm not sure how you'd tell the difference.

Whilst he's lesser spotted these days, it's easy to lure him out.

Free bacon sandwiches work well too!

Love the Hoon name and would love to join you guys, but renting a bike in the UK would be difficult I imagine, plus I am building a house in our local mountains this year. ......Maybe in 2018 I could swing it.

It would be cool to develop a "swap an international rider" program where we rotated yearly allowing a rider from one country to visit another with a loaner Bike to ride. The Speed triple group has done this over the years and the US and Aussies guys have taken care of each other.

Sounds like a good plan, I'd be up for some of that.

We have one of your guys joining us this year, well he's 99% sure he'll make it. He's away for a month and we're holding a place for him.. when he gets back he'll sort out the hire bike, logistics etc.

We've had interest in the past but never pulled it off, maybe this year we'll do it.

    OK Guys

This is who we have so far confirmed...

    Harry H
    Dr Jon
    Omen
    Tifa
    Hairy
    FTM
    Wallaman (Our US buddy)
    Steve (my Brother)
    Me...

We're looking for a 10th but no worries if we don't manage it, also Wallaman has some organising to do to pull this off, if he doesn't make it we'll stick with the 8 confirmed and split the cost..

Maximum is £212 a head for the accommodation, £50 to £80 for B&B on the way down and back and £80 (ish) for the train.. Not bad for a stay in this place by the lake https://www.homeaway.co.uk/p1155366a

All of those signed up are seasoned Alpine Hooners so no wasted time looking for good roads and great places to visit, we know this area well, we'd still welcome someone new to biking in Europe but prefer someone that is compitent on a bike as we're a reasonably fast group I don't want to "encourage" anyone to ride outside of their comfort zone..

PM me for my phone number if you'd like to ask any questions..

    Cheers
