Meanwhile I started with front fork tuning. Since all our scooters have "simple damping" rod style forks there is impossible to make them more advanced just with playing with holes diameter or oil thickness- so I decided to ugrade them with Racetech Gold Valve emulators to be more close to "serious" cartridge forks.
Valves are already installed and now I'm in tuning stage what means that I playing with main springs, preload, valve spring stiffness and preload, oil weight and so on...
1st setup was additional 4 6mm holes in damping road, W15 oil, OEM main springs and 4 turns of blue springs preload on valves- Fork becomes racing hard but still with ability to swallow bumps and holes.
Now I'm in contact with Racetech engineer and considering next step (maybe W10 oil, less preload on main springs using slightly shorter and more hard linear springs instead OEM progressive)...

For those who would know more about Racetech Gold Valve emulators:

Here is list of Racetech "street" type Gold Valve emulators where you could find right valves for your forks. For example I ordered FEGV S3501 since have 29mm outer diameter, 21.1mm is diameter of valve part what sit into damping rod end, and 16mm diameter is part of valve what sits into main spring.:

*Please note that I sanded out valves body from 29mm to 28,2mm to fit into forks since there are 29mm holes (29mm couldn't fit into 29mm!)

    enjoy!

If you haven't already done so you may want to review Space Tigers posts on his install of the Gold Valves in his Sport City and the change over to reservoir shocks in the rear. With some minor modifications he mentions how a Moto Guzzi fork brace with some minor modifications can be fitted and makes a difference too. He made up quit a few test jigs to measure up what the original spring rates were and provided that data too since he is an engineer.

My Sport City is still going strong and quite a pleasure to ride. The valve work I had to do on the head from the damage that occurred after shredding a belt on the Interstate in a 90 mph flow of traffic (I was trying the keep it at 80 mph since it was posted for 75 but people were honking and passing way to close) was a mixed blessing since after I cleaned the ports up and lapped in the new valves it has run better than the day I rode it off the showroom floor. When the belt shredded the bike coasted for a long time without loosing initial speed very fast which surprised me and verified how much the Puig fairing had improved aerodynamics so I was able to coast to the next exit ramp. I highly recommend the Puig Fairing as a must have for any Sport City rider.

Is that the Sport Fairing or the Windshield? That one is more like a flat tall windshield than the Puig OF6025H Sport Fairing style windshield for the Sport City and would likely take quite a bit of extra HP to move at speeds over 30 mph.

The OF6025H is contoured so it installs in a more swept back fashion and is cutaway a bit differently on the side to better divert air over and around you.
