Dorsoduro Front Side Light / Pilot Light LED Upgrade

I had always been disappointed at the yellow tinge of the front side light (the "spear"!) I could never be bothered to faff about getting it out, so luckily one day the bulb blew and I had to replace it.

Very tight getting the new bulb in, but it does fit and looks so much better.

    The pictures speak for themselves.......

    Hey Colorado
Do you have a part number for the Shiver lights?

It’s an H6W BAX9s bulb. I’m trying to figure out which LED bulb he used above to get that light. And how has it turned out... has it burnt out... any problems... also what’s the best way to get to this light assembly. I just got my DD. Don’t know the best me that we’ll.

The light has worked out great, still working a couple of years on.

I pivoted the headlamp assembly forward, and squeezed between the bulb and the speedo unit. Getting the old bulb out was a lot easier than the new one in!

To get to the light, tke the beak/fender off by removing 3 screws underneath. Then remove one long bolt and nut that hold the upper part of the light assembly, behind the dash. This will allow the light assembly to pivot forward for easy access of the bulb. Otherwise, you can just fiddle with that shit for hours, with some baby-sized hands, and a pair of needle-nosed pliers. Do it the easy way, as I've just outlined.
