Short Scooterist on a long ride (interesting girl)

So a few weeks back I had an odd couple of days with a guy passing though making the first electric bike cross of the American continents, he had some fans come to visit while he was at the shop and one was in the middle of a year long, 40,000 mile so far, scooter ride. She left Rhode Island last spring, on her Vespa 250 GTS. She is a cartoon artist and works from the road, her work stuff being sealed in the Pelican case up on the top behind the seat. Both these folks were fascinating to me, living a dream, only a vague outline for a plan...good stuff.

Here re is her ADV RIDER thread, just found it.

here is her blogspot, seems to be best for updates.

I think AF1 sees a mention around the 5/6-5/7/2015 timeframe, I do enjoy reading her mercifully concise and funny updates from the road

I had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie when she passed through this area last fall. My friend hosted her.

Mike Lynch after running from Clearwater to the Northern end of the AlCan and back on his Vespa 200 GT was going to try for a ride through South America to the Southern Tip when a cager put an end to his riding career, I believe out in Indiana, while he was riding one of his Big Scarabeo 500's. Low speed incident that took him off and split one of his feet on a z-post that caught him between the toes and broke numerous other bones. The mental picture of the foot split almost to the shin like that will stick for a long time. Its been years now but I do not believe he will 100% recover or ever ride again. He missed the worst part of the initial surgeries since he was in a coma the first week or so after the accident. Opposite side of the coin though, big elderly gent on a personal sojourn. He may still try the ride as a drive in a Volkswagon Vanagan/Campervan.

Wish I had to Moxie to do something like that later on in my September Years.
