    Just bought a Scooter!

Wanted one for a while now. Especially like the orange ones, but ended up with a white one that is a GTS300 with "Super" badge on the back?? What ever, I'm quite pleased to have it. 2010 model, under 1300km on it (lady who thought she'd love riding a scooter, but not so much in the end.) My 11 year old daughter is beside herself at the prospect that I can take her to a cafe on Saturday for a hot chocolate, machiato for me, and we can do it on the Scoot. Figure I need to make the most of it before she hits 12 and wipes me.......

Need to get a bit of touch up paint, can anyone tell me where on the scooter I might find the paint code?

Remove seat bucket, look towards rear for white label, sometimes clear coated over? Congrats, should you feel the need to make it mechanically far more angry, you know the right place for advise!

Thanks Micah, I'll have a look tonight. I'm hoping I already have enough mechanical anger in my garage in the two T's! Just what I need, another Italian two wheeled vehicle to consume money!!!!!!!!!

Keep and eye on salvage auctions local to you, find a spare motor and build it up...more power is well, just proper after all?

More is better, I subscribe to this! Saying that, just done a day on the V4, with another to come tomorrow to get back home, and boy, these V4's have a lot of more!! Anyway, not had a ride on the scoot yet, so looking forward to getting home early enough tomorrow to take it for a spin to the shops.

You will be quite happy with the stock Vespa, honestly one of the best all around two wheeled machines ever built. Doing what I do, I just couldn't help myself from doing nut so mods on my personal scooter. It won't be finished till its boosted!

I've had one little ride on it, and I was impressed with how nippy it is. I'm not going to ask questions about doing this or that, as that is the first step in the process.......... time to just ride em, no more messing around with my two wheeled collection, just ride em!

A co-workers first ride to the office on his Vespa 300 cost him $280 since he was not used to the nippy and got pinched rolling onto the throttle a little too heavy entering a side street and found himself at 20 over the posted for a few seconds. The original ticket was for almost $400 but he got a reduction due to circumstances.

Give the bike a try stock and get used to it before changing things as you may find yourself happy with it in stock configuration.

...stock is fine...you should still be able to see 130 on the speedo....which is sure optimistic as that did not raise a glance from a highway patrol copper right up my date....on the M4, posted limit there is 110....

Stock is fine. I have a 125hp TV2 and a 155hp TV4 (and my ol' faithful 954 put out 142hp on the dyno recently, which surprised me) if I'm after a big shove in the back! Touched up a few little scratches here and there and put a small screen on it over the weekend. Has come up good.

A little Akro bling might be nice, mine obviously was free, they look much better before the first crash.

Yes, I'd be a liar if I said I hadn't perused the pipes available from the online shop.

Micah - Is it the norm for the header to glow that shade of red?

Yes, these run pretty lean but in this pic it was taken during the tuning phase dialing in a new injector, it was VERY lean. Here is a pic from an MV Agusta F4R on dyno last week, not stock pipes but dead stock mapping and no, not terribly lean, 13.6-13.8 af/r.
