Understand that the Falco has the same clutch as 98-2000 (01 US) Mille.
This is America. Use your turn signals or WE WILL KILL YOU - remember Sandra Bland

Started the falco this evening and coudnt beleive how smooth the engine sounds.
It hasnt sounded this good sinse it first had the gen 2 heads put on. It really does sound like a new engine. Very happy...
My mates often take the piss out of me and the falco saying its the turbo tractor cos it rattles like a bag of spanners. Not anymore .

I think its a case of bearing failiure causing the compressor wheel to hit the housing. Because its a cast alloy its broke and chipped the fins. My main concern was that pieces may have gone into the engine.ive done a compression test and both cylinders are equal at 150 psi. This turbo didnt last a year after a rebuild so its going in the bin . Ive got my eye on a nice turbonetics item but its a bit priceyClick image for larger version.

Finger crossed nothing has entered the engine although how it wouldn’t would be a miracle

So the new turbo arrivedwednesday and im pleased with the way it looks and appears to be a quality item.
Its a t04e copy and bought from usa however its probably made in china but has been made to an acceptable spec and had some form of quality control during assembly.online reviews for cx racing are good and its less than half the cost of a branded equivalent.
Ive spent many hours deciding what size turbo to go for bearing in mind that the turbine housing cant be changed or all headers and exhaust with wastegate would have to be remade.
The turbine wheel and compressor wheels are the same as the old turbo with the only upgrade being it has ceramic bearings.
I have made the aspect ratio on the compressor larger by 100 and the turbine smaller. Together this combo should see the bike build boost at around 4thou which for a street bike will be bags o fun.
Its all fitted now and a tiny oil wheep from scavange pump fixed its time to go for a ride while the weather is good . Click image for larger version.

I could get there this year funds wouldnt allow cos the wife wants a new bathroom.
Ive seen a stretched out bking turbo there a couple of times.
It looks deadly but in a good way....
Had some interesting developments her in the last week with my new turbo.
The 1st time it spooled up to over 10 psi the the nut which holds the compressor wherl on came loose and totally fooked the turbo. Bent impeller ,shaft and srewed up bearings.
To say it ruined my day would be an understatement
